I want to concur with this article from Muscle, Smoke and Mirrors. One who cares about fitness, nutrition and health in general cannot find a better book. This is the Bible for that.

@Selphine:

I don't think E. Coli or Salmonella are concerns as long as the food is of high quality, i.e. fresh and from grass-fed animals, wild animals, wild fish or free-range chickens. I think it might be important to transition from SAD (Standard American Diet) / High-Carb to Paleo before going Raw Paleo, in order to establish a more robust internal environment. I prepared for Raw Paleo by eating a Cooked Paleo diet for a month. I felt much better after a month of eating Cooked Paleo (I had been eating extremely high-carb) but I still felt pulsing in my lower digestive system after eating cooked meat so I decided to "Go Raw" and have experienced further improvement in digestion. I expect my body to reprogram itself genetically and to be able to handle the increased bacteria in raw meat, which I think are likely symbiotic and probiotic in terms of health and evolution.

A friend of mine is on the paleo diet and looks terrific. She wants me to try my first high meat this month and I am looking into it. I'm so sick of "carb face" and feeling sluggish and overweight. I'm also tired of being vegetarian; I'm always on the hunt for more "energy" and protein from meat just really does do it better. About to try paleo, wish me luck... and thanks Monna!

We are starting a raw food diet/lifestyle soon. And are wondering about different ways to prepare the raw meat. We have heard about adding honey or lemon to the meat, but aren't sure how to use it properly. Any tips, asap, would be fantastic. We are going to start this diet tomorrow! Thanks!

Hi, I live in Boynton Beach. I follow the Wai Diet, which is a raw paleo diet of fruit, fish, and egg yolks.

Do you know of good places to get sushi-grade fish in Florida.

Edwin,
my journey seems similiar to yours. Raw vegans gave me fragile easily broken bones, awful dental health. I am computer geek too, tempted to seek job in your computer company just be close to that 'farmer market'. Just started raw paleo, put the first peice of raw meat in mouth ... expected to throwup. It tasted 'yummy' - SURPRISE. Ate more and more, stopped myself. Within few minutes of it broken bones felt stronger (this is the unbelievable part) ... went in had some more. I was walking the next day, my wife gave me cooked meat - ate some ... almost puked. Had a hard time holding it down. Over night my taste buds have revolted. I would like to learn more about your journey. is there a way to exchange emails?

Now How do i tell my wife to eat raw meat - when i was the one who started her on raw veganism-she will be heart broken. But i am scared for her health - raw veganism might hurt her, like it did to me.

I think to start eating Raw meat one need a lot of cougare and to delete from our brain all what we’ve been taugh about raw meat, once the firt step is done the rest is easy I’ve been reading tha eating raw meat is better for the body than cooked so last year I had the courage to eat raw grass feed beef. The first time it was pure fear about the taste but once I did it I thought the taste was fine. When I eat RAF my tummy don’t feel too bad. Now is more than a year that I started eating raw meat and organ meat and I do prefer the taste of the raw meat, my husband think I’m crazy. Magda
